A lettering guide is a type of ruler used to draw uniform characters. Usually, it takes the shape of a shablone made of plastic or paper, with cutouts of various shapes, including letters, numbers, lines, and curves. Lettering guides are a tool to ensure a quick, consistent visual in lettering.

Lettering Guide

on-going participatory workshop series developed with Kristí Fekete, exploring the relationship between standardised tools and personal narratives.

Each workshop begins with participants bringing an object or fragment of personal significance. Through hands-on experimentation, they translate their own narratives and visual vocabularies into drawing tools.
